The path of our journey leads into realities of life, answers to mysteries, understanding our purpose.

And best of all is how this journey ends. Like the fairy tales we learned as children, we WILL LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER.

We want everyone to join us on this exciting journey into direction, freedom, and fullness of life. 

God gives all who seek Him a point of entry into a reality that fulfills the deepest desires of every human being. 

Why else have billions over the years started this eternal journey into an endless reality.

This website is our invitation to investigate...and after discovering this eternal truth...joining us.

The Bible

The Bible is God's written download to humans. Designed to reveal in detail exactly what He is like...and His purpose in making the universe. The breath of the Spirit makes this book unassailable in terms of truth. It is God's revelation to man. 

God's Nature

It's a mystery, impossible to fully understand yet easy to experience. Our mind is the current limiting factor, yet God exists as ONE God, with THREE Persons, each of whom we can experience and know (as God intends for us). 

God the Father
We believe God the Father created all things (the vast universe including the quantum level) in six days according to His own will (Revelation 4:11). This He did through His Son, Jesus Christ and upholds all things by the Word of His power and grace, exercising sovereign headship over all creation. (Hebrews 1:3).

God the Son
We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son, moved by love in accordance with the will of the Father, took on human flesh (John 1:1, 14, 18). Conceived through the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the virgin Mary. He, being fully God and fully man (John 14:8–9), lived a sinless life and sacrificially shed His blood and died on the cross in our place accomplishing redemption for all who place their faith in Him. He arose visibly and bodily from the dead three days later and ascended into Heaven, where, at the Father’s right hand.

God the Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, in all that He does, glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ during this age. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He draws the unredeemed to repentance and faith, and at salvation imparts new spiritual life to the believer, bringing that person into union with Christ and the Body of Christ. 

Salvation
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, as the substitutionary atonement in our place, and that salvation is found in none other than Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ’s death on the cross was the sole and complete payment for sins, fully satisfying God’s righteous wrath, for each person that turns from sin in repentance and places their faith in Christ alone by grace alone. At salvation each person is made a new creation by the Holy Spirit, declared righteous before God, and secured as an adopted child of God forever. Genuine faith continues in obedience and love for Jesus Christ with a life eager to glorify God and persevere to the end (Romans 8:37–39; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Corinthians 12:13).

The Church
We believe that upon placing one’s faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, the believer is made part of the Body of Christ, the church, those called to Him. Jesus Christ is the Head of this mystical body. The Scriptures command believers to gather locally in order to devote themselves to worship, prayer, teaching of the Word, fellowship, the ordinances of baptism and communion, service to the local body through the development and use of talents and spiritual gifts, and outreach to the world to make disciples (Ephesians 1:22–23; Acts 2:42–46; 1 Corinthians 14:26; Matthew 28:18–20). 

Things to Come
We believe in and expectantly await the wonderful, visible, personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The blessed hope of His return has vital bearing on the personal life, service, and mission of the believer (1 Thessalonians 4:13–18). We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The lost will be raised to judgment and experience eternal wrath in Hell. The saved will be raised to eternal joy in the new Heaven and new earth in the manifested presence of God (Acts 1:3, 9; Hebrews 7:25–26).

Baptism and Communion
We believe that Christian baptism is the command of Christ and an essential part of salvation. It is a public declaration of the believer’s faith in Christ. In this act, we come into a spiritual union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection through  this sacrament of water. The Lord’s Supper is the united commemoration by believers of Christ’s death until He comes. It is essential for sustaining our walk with God and should be preceded by a careful self-examination (Acts 2:41; Romans 6:3–6; 1 Corinthians 11:20–29).

Chaos and Separation

We believe that God created mankind—male and female—in His own image and likeness, free of sin, to glorify Himself and enjoy His fellowship forever with fullness of life. However, tempted by Satan,  man freely chose to disobey God, bringing sin, death and condemnation to all mankind. All human beings, therefore, are totally lost our connection with the perfect sustainer of life and became increasingly corrrupted in nature. Alienated from God without defense or excuse, and subject to God’s righteous wrath, all of mankind is in desperate need of the Savior (Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 3:10-19; Romans 1:18, 32).

Our Calling

We believe it is the privilege, aim, and duty of every believer and every local church fellowship to glorify God by responding as active participants in the Great Commission call of Jesus Christ to go and make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19)

Reconnection

The ultimate reason for darkening the doors of a church is NOT religion. It is for one simple reason...to reconnect with the Creator God. This disconnection from God was overcome by His Son Jesus the moment He died on a cross and rose 3 days later. This opened the door back to God.

A New Creature

The story only gets better. The inner "me"  needs not just a facelift...but a new "me" different than my track record. This is exactly what mysteriously happens when we allow Jesus to come into our life.

Equipped for LIfe

We are not only "reborn" at the core of our being, in our spirit, when the Spirit of God comes into our heart. There He remains in our center and begins to participate in life with us. Jesus called the Holy Spirit our Teacher and Helper. This is exactly how we are empowered to enter into fullness of life. 

Preparing for Eternity

However, this present world is temporal and not at this point fully restored. Jesus promised to come back from heaven and lead us into an  eternity with Him in a new heaven and a new earth. This is the endgame of God for mankind, the best possible news!

The Family of God

The story continues to get better. God is the original family man. When he rescued us through Jesus, it was not for slavery...it was for sonship...and becoming a part of His family. We all gain a massive group of brothers and sisters when Jesus comes into our life. 

Forgiveness

There is NO escape from guilt apart from the great release that Jesus the Son of  God provided when He died on the cross. In that act, the sins of mankind were permanently paid for...We longer have to bear the weight of it n our minds or hearts. They are removed forever.  

A DIVINE EXCHANGE BETWEEN US AND JESUS. HE TAKES OUR LIFE, EVERY PART OF IT, AND GIVES US HIS. 

Healing

It doesn't take long when the Bible is read to discover that God is a healing God...both inner healing and physical healing. Jesus healed when He was on earth...and He continues to do it today. We encourage all to look in faith to Jesus, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. 

Inner Freedom

Ever had a habit that won't release its grip on you? Things that seem more powerful than you are and in some way have you in chains? Jesus came to set those in bondage free . Coming to "the feet of Jesus" will bring freedom into your life. 

Power for Living

The "connection" that happens when we give our hearts to Jesus is actually a divine exchange. The offer of God is this: You give your life to Him, and you receive the life of Jesus who has given Himself for you. He becomes your connection to the divine nature of God...His wisdom, His guidance, His plan, His purpose for you, His future. This exchange offers power for living that never ends. Don't miss it. 

 Our Future

Jesus gives a future that is wonderful and endless...and begins now. It  includes purpose in this life, PLUS an eternal future with God that is indescribable. That future is so GOOD that the remainder of this life is best spent in spreading the GOOD NEWS to everyone we know. Jesus will return, and desires that His offer of eternal life reach everyone. Let's spread the word. 

The Starting Point

The starting point is as close as our heart and  ips. The moment we put our faith in this truth of Jesus as the crucified and risen Son of God...AND surrender our heart to Him (make Him our Lord), declaring with our lips his Lordship in our life, it all begins to happen. Say YES to Him today. 

Purpose of Church 

A church building is simply a place where people who make this divine exchange with Jesus come  to meet others who have asked the same questions, faced similar challenges, and then discovered the miracle of being brought back into the presence of the Heavenly Father. God designed this gathering place of believers a place to encourage and strengthen each other...and to discover we are not alone...ever. Come join the family of God.

Entrance to Heaven

The "locked" doors of heaven have been opened. We are invited into the presence of the Creator God. On a weekly basis we gather to worship, to give thanks, to offer requests. We have direct access to the throne room of God the Father. This is what happens when we meet together on Sundays. 

Enthronement

"You are holy, enthroned upon the praises of Israel." Psalm 22:3 God inhabits the praises of His people. When we worship at Cross and Crown, the Bible indicates that we are enthroning God. There is no experience more precious that experiencing the presence of God.

The Real You

This is how we discover who we are, no longer alone or forlarn, but sons and daughters of God, with rights and privileges freely given to us. Our self image changes as we worship and discover who we really are...children of consequence and destiny.

Ancient Songs

Our worship format draws upon songs and words of worship  written 3000 + years ago. From the book of PSALMS. The centuries have proven their ability of these inspired words to speak life and strength to us again and again. 

Songs of the Past

For 2000 years people just like us have believed and worshipped this God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We utilize their songs as a part of our worship as we recognize our faith has touched the lives of billions since Christ ascended to heaven. 

Songs of the Present

The same Holy Spirit that inspired worship in the past is present today...and so our worship service incorporates music written in our present day.

The Word

Jesus said that "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Matt 4:4 The Bible calls Jesus the Word of God. He is God's highest and most perfect way of describing Himself to us. This is why we come to church as the Bible recommends...to meet together and to HEAR FROM GOD. There is nothing as meaningful as hearing from God in the here and now...and discovering God's personal interest.

Welcome Home 

God's family is forever. Life is all about relationship...with God..with one another. When we gather together to worship, to eat together,  to pray together, to study together, we experience the family fellowship that only God's Spirit can make possible. 

Mystery

The "body of Christ" is another way to try to describe what happens as we come together as brothers and sisters in Christ. The connection exceeds that of family as all become part of God's family...Jesus gave a specific commandment concerning this fellowshp we have..."love one another, as I have loved you." John 13:34

Family 

There is only one Father over all...who is indeed a perfect father who perfectly cares for us and has given up much to bring mankind back into his family. He did not spare his only Son in providing a way to adopt us as children. As we come together, we increasingly can experience a unity and love God has intended for all. 

God's Communication

Often God chooses to minister to us through one another. He will often communicate his love and direction that is needed through one another. He often speaks not directly from heaven but through our brother or sister in Christ. 

Strength

In distress or need, who hasn't reached out to family for help and support? For strength? This is what happens within the fellowship as we together draw close to God. 

Love 

Love is what makes the world go round. Yes, and the wellspring of love, the Holy Spirit, has been poured out into the hearts of every believer...and springs up from within each member of the body of Christ to show love. Remember Jesus' command. The Spirit helps us do this...

Prayer 

The fellowship of believers are also an army of intercessors...for many things needed in the world...and for one another. Fellowship means prayer for one another...

Body Life

In reality, a believer is connected with other believers as closely as cells in the human body...inseparable. We cannot survice apart the from the body. In coming to Cross and Crown, you have the opportunity to experience relationships designed by God himself. 

Eternal LIfe  versus Judgment

The chaos and hatred and pride and selfishness of humans has demonstrated itself for thousands of years. Hopefully those who look at history conclude that humans need help...lots of it. 

God's option was to allow judgment to come to earth...

OR

Somehow to find a way of escape and to restore humans to eternal life. This would happen only as as a reconciliation to God the Father could occur.

THIS GOD DID

Which is the singular point of this website. The point of Cross and Crown church is to share the GOOD NEWS that God really has solved the dilemma. He has provided a way to us to come back to...

ETERNAL LIFE

This is the Jesus story, God's Son, who was sent into the world to suffer and die and make possible a divine exchange. His life given to us when we come to Him and surrender our lives to him. 

OUR WITNESS

We have found this to be true in our lives. LIves that are no different than yours...often filled with questions, sometimes with confusion...began to be solved from the inside out when we were  born again. Jesus is the answer for the world today. 

COME TO HIM

Discover all this for yourself and enter into eternal life. God is calling you to come back to Him and to become a part of His family.
